What's wrong with my Pulse?

Just downloaded the Pulse news reader app.
All I got was the "Refresh to check for more stories" message. However, drag to refresh didn't help at all!No news, no pics!
Can anyone help? Tell me what't wrong with it?
P.S: my wifi signal is pretty good!
Sounds like you are choosing a category that has no new news.

No, I didn't choose any category. It's just the startup page.
