thats semi normal, click setup.
normally its setup right after you get the phone but some times it doesnt or it forgets that it already did. anyway, its needed to get ota updates.

I clicked on setup but it just stays on the contacting server screen forever.

well that stinks, im not sure what to do about that. it should only take a few seconds to set itself up automatically.
