Whats 3rd party animated widgets?

I was looking at Home++ on the marketplace and the update and on the top it says support for 3rd party animated widgets. What are these animated widgets referring too?

Widgets that animate, such as the Beautiful Widgets clock?

The animated widgets referred to in Home++ are the Flip Clock and Flip Date, that actually flip! Beautiful Widgets, Weather Widget... have animations, but are not animated widgets... if that makes sense
