What is the best rom out? Something nice and smooth. I have Apex, and wanted to try darkSlide, but now im having second thoughts and wanna get some ideas from everyone. Which is the best "rom" out?dancedroid
I've mostly used rubix and darkslide. I've found darkslide to be more stable with only a couple reboots ever. However, rubix has been way faster and doesn't lag ever while I have had darkslide lag in many different situations.
Personally I don't like the theme on darkslide as much as the gingerbread theme on rubix.
I have heard a lot of good things about gummy but haven't tried it yet.
I tried the newest rubix, apex ,darkslide, also the gummyjar1.9,tranq3.5. I can't tell the difference among them. Every rom is good. I am now using rubix1.9.5 since its release. But I am preparing to turn back to apex because I need FM radio but less blur things. There are so many android phones which look like the same ui. So I want my phone look different. The aosp ui is a little boring.
If you like stock Android I highly suggest Gummyjar 2.5. It scored 200 more on quadrant and 2 points on linpack than stock Blur Droid X and also Apex. It is stable and fast. I can even run live wallpapers on it better than I ever could.
Well I don't know what's best but all I can say is I'm running Darkslide and LOVE it. This thing is fast. I was going to try Fission last night and changed my mind; didn't see any benefit in it. I was also going to try Liberty tonight; downloaded it and charged phone but then started reading the thread and saw the problems people were having and changed my mind. It's new so I know it will get better and I may try it later. I just need my phone to work period without problems.
So what's best; no idea. All I know is Darkslide is perfect for me. One thing to also keep in mind is that not all ROM's work great on all phones. I've seen the same ROM work flawlessly for me while others just get all kinds of problems. And I've been on the other end on a few myself. Just try them and if you like it stick with it.
