Set at 1 minute. 15 - 30 seconds is a bit short when I'm involved in conversation, while 2 minutes is overkill. If I go over one minute, I'm usually otherwise engaged.
2 minutes, kill manually or use gravity screen to kill with proximity sensor. I read somewhere long ago that it was better on battery to let the screen time out. That seems crazy to me. Why would you allow your screen to stay on when not using it? Also too short a time out and you have to touch to keep it on when reading longer articles. I think each touch uses some small amount of power.
My normal usage without touching the screen is about 45 or less seconds so I keep the timer set for that.
For the few apps I use where I want to keep the screen awake longer without touching anything I use an app called Keepscreen that overrides screen timer settings for said app, that I've set , only.

10 seconds. I don't need my back light to remain On even a single second extra. And ofcourse the reason is battery and I am happy with current settings.
