What do the different colored lights under the power button mean?

I checked the manual and could not find the answer.

I assume they are a notification of some sort, but this morning it was flashing green and I couldn't find any new/missed phone calls or messages.

Has anyone figured out what the different colors of lights mean?

a green blinking light: You got Mail!
a green constant light: Battery is fully charged
a red blinking light:: Your battery is REAL low
a red constant light: Battery is complete empty

And a couple others available for use in handcent.

Fixed.

Also, a purple (magenta) light means you have a new IM. If you use TALK or a chat client, you'll get a purple light.

i use the one that came standard on the droid...when i get an e-mail or notification thru FB i get the blue light....
