That's what I have frozen using a freezer for. 99 cents on the market. Everything works fine..

Root definitely isn't for everyone. Research before you do anything and until we get a good way to restore the DROID 3 (ie an SBF) don't delete anything. Freeze it. And back up first...

+1 ^^^ this! An .sbf file will probably not be coming, but hopefully a working custom recovery with working nandriod . . . .

I have frozen DLNA and DlanSystemService, but the DLNA keeps restarting. I have rebooted and it keeps showing up as running. I have the same issue with Voice Commands. I have frozen it, but it keeps coming back running. Am I missing anything? Shouldn't freezing them stop them from running?

It should but I read on xda other libraries can invoke it and start it so its better to rename the file. There is a script at xda that you can use to rename and change back easily

omg am i boned? lol i got root and titanium backuped all my apps on phone but then DELETED/unistalled? bloatware was i stupid should i put them back then freeze them with bloat freezer?
You could always unroot and use the recently posted recovery to go stock and start over. Or, you can wait for a ROM to come out near update time and get it all back then. I wish I could be more helpful to ya, I just rooted my D3 and I'm researching do's and don'ts. Good luck dude.
