Web Browser Downloads

I use to be able to download files, video and pictures on my thunderbolt from the web browser. Since my switch to the Razr Maxx I can't download anything withour a 3rd party app. Is this normal.

By 3rd party app do you mean using chrome or something like that? And this issue happens on the default browser app?
