On my HTC Incredible I can't find a way to turn off the notification sound when I receive a new gmail.com email and still have an audible phone ringtone. Possible? tia, njb

Open Gmail app, Menu/More/Settings/Select Ringtone/Silent

Thanks, that did the trick! I was trying to use phone settings, not gmail settings, to turn off the gmail ringtone. njb
