Waking up phone during a call?

I have a straight-stick Droid Pro (not rooted) maybe I'm missing something but I can't figure out how to wake the screen up when I'm in a call.

The power button works - but it also disconnects the call!

Am I missing something easy??

Thanks!

Jim

Are you using the speakerphone?

If so you could try putting it to your face and taking it away.

If you aren't the proximity sensor may not be working correctly. Do you use a case that may be blocking it?

I'm using a Motorola Blue Tooth headset. I'm guessing that cuts off the proximity sensor?

Okay, I just encountered the same issue while using the speakerphone. I pushed every button on the phone, and the only thing that worked was the power button (which disconnected the call).

With both the Bluetooth headset and the speaker, I tried putting it to my face to activate the proximity sensor (it is free and clear - no case), but no joy.

It's really annoying (and frustrating!) not to be able to use any other function of the phone while I'm talking.

Any thoughts??

Thanks!

Jim

Okay -- found my own answer. Under "Accessibility", I had to uncheck the box for "Power button ends calls". Now I can wake it up with the power button and access the screen in call.
