Can you wake up the screen with the home button?

I read that with some of the other Droids you can wake up the screen with the home button.

I've tried this on my original Droid and my Droid Pro, and it doesn't work for me. Anyone know if this is actually possible? Does it require an app? Does it require rooting?

I just would love to be able to wake up the screen with something other than the power button.

Download and install "no lock" at the marketplace.

With No Lock, you should be able to press any key and it will turn the screen on.
