VZW Drops Bionic Price to $249

Title says it all.
I ordered mine on day 1 so I highly doubt there is any chance of a price adjustment, but those of you who recently purchased it should try calling *611 and see if you cant get $50 back.

No surprise here. Pre orders start today for the RAZR at $299. Wouldn't be surprised if it goes lower when Nexus/Rezound are available.

Im happy with my Bionic and I don't want to return it, but a $50 credit will certainly make me happier.

I may go to the verizon store where I purchased my phone (~14-15 days ago) to see what they say.

I'd like to know if anyone has had any luck with something like this.

I just upgraded from original Driod to the Bionic two days ago. I called *611 this morning about the price change and they told me sorry they can't give me a $50 refund. I'm gonna try going back to the store and try again to get a refund.

If you got it at a Verizon store and you're within your 14 day return period I would think it's a no brainer. "Oh, I can't get an adjustment? OK, then I'd like to return my phone, please. Then I'd like to buy a new one. Or...would you just like to just give me a $50 adjustment instead?"

I dont think it's going to get any lower than $250. I got a brochure in the mail this week from VZW and the Tbolt is still $250.

No luck at the Verizon store. At least where I purchased it from. It Was just a flat out NO.

Guess my impatience got the better of me this time. Oh well, over the course of 2 years, $50 isn't that big of a deal to me.

I didn't dwell too much into attempting to return it only to repurchase it at a reduced price. With the $35 restocking fee I'd only save $15 and I wasn't willing to go through the hassle of that.

Good luck to anyone else who attempts this, may You have better luck than I.

Just got back from the Verizon store. They only gave me a $30 credit on my account, since I only paid $249.99 for the phone with my work discount. So paying $219 for the Bionic isn't bad. Oh well, $30 is better than nothing.

Just curious, did you have to push them to give you the credit? Maybe walking in there in a civilized manner wasn't the right approach.

Yes, the first sales associate I talked to had no idea that there was a price reduction of the Bionic. He asked another sales person and he said yes it went into effect today, but they couldn't give me any credit. I asked to talk to a Manager and told him I just bought the phone two days ago and was upset about not being told to wait until today to buy the phone, and then he gave me a $30 credit towards next months bill.
