I moved into a new building and i get no FREAKING service. I sit next to a window too. It seems like everyone thats one verizon has no service here. BUT all the AT&T (most are iphone users) people do! WTH is going on....:icon_evil: No service means no games :'(. I star 228..nada

Service is not guaranteed in buildings, any buildings. AT&T might have a contract for indoor tower system that VZW might not have in your building. It happens.

Or they might have a tower sitting right on top of your building. Or possibly next to it.

That's how it's happening at my High School, they replaced 2 of our football field lights with cell towers and just mounted lights to them. Kind of ingenious, though I think I'll die of radiation poisoning by the end of my high school career.

It's quite horrible. In fact, that's the reason why most of the families in my area have switched to AT&T.

Wifi is lame at my work, i have no idea what I.T did to it. Signal for wifi is a weak as my cell signal. I also think the build loves AT&T. LOL..One of my co-worker (AT&T) actually said "No way! AT&T has better reception then VZW for the first time?" LOL I might have to log a Help Desk ticket for better wifi hotspots.

Every carrier, even Verizon, has holes in coverage. And, as stated above, no carrier will guarantee coverage indoors unless your company is willing to pay the considerable expense of having a microcell installed in the building (we just did this).

*228 can help in certain specific cases (it's not the panacea that forum users tend to make it out to be) but it can't create coverage where there is none.

Be aware that your battery is likely to die faster under these conditions.

Some places have deals with service providers.

One of the hospitals I did a renovation at had ZERO AT&T service but full Verizon. They did have Verizon cell boosters thru out the building in the ceiling.

right with my signal strength (or lack thereof) i can suffer a few years of less life for strong cell signals. LOL
