Voice Search just keeps listening and never DOES anything

Hi - never posted before to the forum, but about two weeks ago my Voice Search that I used pretty frequently stopped working.

I have a Motorola RAZR M and when I hit the microphone in the upper right of my home screens, it takes me to the Voice Search screen and tells me to Speak Now while the microphone turns red. This is all normal. But after I say something or give it a command, it does nothing but keeps listening... on and on with no end in sight.

Can anyone help out with a solution? It's driving me a little crazy because I use it for work to navigate to different sites around the city.

Thanks.

Go to your settings > apps > scroll down to voice search and tap on it. Tap on clear cache, clear data, then force stop. Hit home then give it a shot. Return for more advice if that doesn't work. Good luck!

This worked! I don't have Voice Search in my apps list, but I did what you said with Google Search and it had the same effect. Thank you!
