Voice Controls Screen Off

When I'm at work I like to use my phone while it's still in my pocket through headphones instead of having to stop working, pull off my gloves, go in my pocket to check my phone, and when I'm done, put it back in my pocket, put my gloves back on and get back to work.

The problem is, when I say "Ok Google Now, do this" my screen doesn't turn off when I'm done what I have to do, so my phone is still on when it's in my pocket.


Is there any way to fix this issue?

Did you try changing your screen timeout/ sleep setting? What is it set on now?

I would just like for it to sleep after voice commands, not while I'm using the phone in general. Any way to do that?
