Voice Band for Droid would be AWESOME!

That is pretty cool, but I am not too sure I could envision myself doing that. But who knows, maybe I will grow the onions and say "bah bah baaaaaaaaaaaaaah bah bah bah" into my phone.

A little googling lead me to their site, and their forums already have a message about the Android platform. An admin has replied to it twice, saying they definitely plan on porting it, and once again with "We're working on it. Stay tuned...." Drumagog Discussion - View topic - Voice Band for Android

How much is it on the itunes store? I don't have itunes installed, and everytime I click a link to it, it gives me a link to install itunes.

Although this guy DOES have some musical skill, this app is more of a gimmick than anything. I play several instruments, including guitar, bass, drums, and I can carry a bit of a tune as a singer, and I have a friend who's on the same page as me who owns an iPhone.

This app uses AUTOTUNE. Auto-Tune - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

You may recognize this if you're a fan of R&B/Rap. They like to use it a lot.

It corrects the pitch and makes it all in tune. Doesn't really take much skill.

I'm not doubting that it'd be fun to play with. My friend downloaded it, and has informed me that you can use it to create your own songs, so you're not stuck with a library of songs that someone else wrote, but in the end, it's smoke and mirrors...

Pretty cool if you ask me, since I know that song like the back of my hand I think he could have done better on the base and Deep Purples drummer can do the one handed roll so the high hat wasn't quite right.....I'm highly critical...lol....Still it was interesting, I'd enjoy that.

Jonny, I play guitar myself and I agree...this isn't a replacement for actual TALENT. I just like it as a novelty time waster...and who knows...you might come up with a cool backing track to play guitar over! :-)

Oh, you port it over to Android even in a beta that has half the capabilities of the iPhone version and I'll be the first to download it.

I'm just saying that it really doesn't take much talent, so ANYONE really can play around with it...

It will "fix" my singing? This is a good thing.

I heard the other day 12,000 people wanted to be on American Idol in Chicago. 13 made it. Perhaps this app is for the 12,987 people who didn't make the cut. Sounds like a good marketing plan for the developer:)

yet another musical app that would be nice for the Android OS:
