/sigh 299.99 isn't really sub 300. I mean, its a penny. $249 to me would be sub 300. But still, nice specs for $300.

If I but a tablet though, I want to make sure theres an active community for it in terms of roms/rootz and stuff.

This could be a really sweet tab if the dev community decides to take it on. Who knows about the bootloader and all that stuff though.

I wonder what kind of development following this tablet will have. Seems to have pretty solid specs for a great price. That's exactly what Vizio is all about.

My wife works for vizio and the bootloader is unlocked, need some devs to get to hack this tablet, could be an animals, my wife gets one for free next week from vizio, everyone in the company does

Does your wife have anymore "hacker friendly" info on the tablet?

The only other info is that the test tablets were rooted and that they are rootable, she just don't know how they accessed root,
but it is possible to root, I was wondering if using older versions of gingerbreak would be able to root this device, it was originally rooted before launch with gingerbreak, but nobody says what version of gingerbreak, that is my thought

Since the tablet had an update out of the box and one more since then I doubt that an older version of gingerbreak will work. Definitely worth a shot though. I have been searching and trying pretty much every root method that I can think with no luck.
