Are there any voicemail services that do not use your minutes when forwarding calls? I noticed that google voice was using a ton of my minutes every month.

No. How do you expect calls to get transferred from your phone to the VM system? Calls have to be forwarded.

GV VM won't use minutes if you only give out your GV number as there's no conditional call forwarding involved as there is with GV VM and your carrier number. I only use my GV number and I don't get charged. Not sure how it is with Sprint's integration though.

F&F/calling circle with your GV number may prevent charges on conditional call forwarding but you may want to verify this.
