virtual keyboard giving horrible auto corrections

I like auto corrections I just wish the droid had a smarter one. when I type accidentally hit ia instead of is, it auto corrects it as IA. I like the auto correct feature because I do make mistakes from time to time. Also when I hit ao instead of so, it some how becomes AOL. Please help!
