video zoom on Motorola Droid

Does anyone know if there is an app that can be downloaded to enable the Motorola Droid to zoom in while recording videos? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

As stated in the other recent thread, it could be a hardware limitation.

It does not have an optical zoom, so it only could be digital which would make the quality worse. Don't really see the point.
