Video won't open on phone

first post...forgive if I don't follow any protocols:

problem: got a 16mb video e-mailed to my phone (Droid2) and phone won't open it (too big). Ok, I understand (I guess; any solutions to that?).

Tried to open it on my Macbook (using QuickTime; file ext is 3GP), but it's not being recognized by QuickTime. Downloaded Prism to try to convert the file. No luck there either.

Any thoughts? The video came from a T-Mobile phone (HTC) if that means anything..

The phone should be able to handle 3GP formatted videos (both of my Droids can/did).

Try opening the file with VLC -- I've not yet found a video format it cant handle.

That being said, it sounds like the video might be corrupt.

If I'm not mistaken a 3gp file can be renamed to mp4 play just the same.
