Video Out?

How would you drive the vids on the output source??... using an app on the Droid? ... next question is if there is such an app.

Seems to have the potential...

Android OS supports video out, but I think it's limited to HDMI.
Well the vid says they're using Composite ...MicroUSB to Composite...
Heh, I posted before watching the video. That's cool, gonna have to try it.

Any drivers or apps required though?

No drivers since it's to the TV, and I'm thinking it must need some type of app on the Android side though... haven't tried it out to know.

Don't need any app. It's like hooking up video out from a laptop to a external monitor or a television. It's just a video signal to display what is shown exactly on the dinc. You will need to access a video player on the dinc to watch a video on tv.

So the HTC Inc already comes with a built-in app that does video out...cool ... now if that can be applied to the Droid, that'd be even cooler...

*bump*
has anybody made any progress on this yet? this could be useful with a game emulator and wii controller ime, a system in a pocket making a system in a pocket

i attached the tv out .apk and the .odex from the droid inc, couldnt get either to install

I'm in the same situation as you, and im hoping so, if not they have micro-usb to composite cables that would work (the cables also have a place to plug in your charger so that your phone can charge while its displaying), ive seen it done with the droid incredible ( ), which is where i got these files from
i want it to work on the Droid, but i couldnt get it to install, even when i put them in the appropriate system folders, i'm hoping somebody who's better at this than me could get it working
