why want any video I record on a 2.2 rom play correctly on Droid.

Froyo still hasn't been officially released, so any custom froyo rom can still potentially have broken features due to the fact that its been compiled from leaked and/or a different devices source code. Patience, once Froyo gets wide spread use, these problems are going to fade away. If its really an issue for you though, then I would recommend either trying a different rom/kernel config, or going back to 2.1. Let me know if this helps
