WHAT???!!! That would infuriate me, especially if I was one of the idiots that donated him money

This is why I don't donate unless it's from an established company or someone I know personally and their intentions with such donations.

He tossed it, he didn't drop it. If you tossed it onto concrete, even on a flat surface, the only difference would be scratches everywhere.

does not matter whether it is tossed or dropped, it still hits the ground at the same vertical velocity. if you toss it (toss it sideways from the same height it would be dropped) then yea, it would get scratches because the friction will just own it. i believe the cracked screen has more to do with the y component though, so toss or drop, the max height determines max speed in the y direction.
