Well, i think for a "couch surfing device" it doesnt matter what android it is running right?

Besides that, steve jobs wanted $499 for a similar device =)

O'Neil really glad someone is taking Googlers seriously. Ill probablly buy one of these even though I don't need one, just to give the OS a chance.

This will be perfect for my 15 yr. old who complains that our 4 yr. old Windows XP laptop is so ancient. Hope it comes out soon. Can't beat the price either.

i was looking for a "couch device" for my fiance, where she could surf the web, do social networks and IM, and NOT GETTING ON MY laptp all the time ;)
The price is a pure blast!

Note that he said "$100 to the distributor" traditionally the distributor will sell to the retailer who would double the price to the end consumer so it will probably have a retail "list" price of $200.00.

hat still is a really cheap deal. netbooks are more expensive.

Price is $98 to distributors, not $98 retail, but in any case blows away the iCrap.

yea, but this would be WITHOUT contract, cuz it has no mobile network on it (as far as i could read from the specs) so it would be WiFi only.

and supporting the good OS is a good shot as well

Most of the wireless carriers have netbooks for $200 with a two year contract.
That's my fear, that it would be on a wireless carrier with a contract. Since it has built in WIFI, and if it was in the $100 - $200 range, and no carrier commitment, it would be a bargain.
