Vibrate and silent setting

Is there a way to turn on vibrate or silent quickly without having to go into settings then sound?

There are apps that can do that. There are widgets that can do that. You can install a custom ROM that'll do it easily. I know if I long-press my power button I get the option of going into silent mode. Or you could just press and hold the volume rocker down so the volume drops and it goes into silent mode.

Or you could tap the power button, let the phone go to sleep, tap it again to wake it up, and then slide the volume button to the left and then unlock by sliding the locker to the right.

The app quick settings works well also. You can also control, wifi, bluetooth, gps, etc.

Just downloaded the Beautiful Widgets app and it is amazing. I love it. I had heard a lot about it before but never considered purchasing it until I read this thread.

CM 6 recent nightlies have an option to turn it back on in the volume rocker.
