bummer, it looks like ill still be just out of 4g here in central NJ. looking at the maps, it looks like the extended 4g area ends about half a mile from my house. luckily, my office is right in the middle of full 4g so at least when im there and need the 4g ill have it. Cant wait to get a new phone next week and experience the 4g world

where did you see the extended coverage map.. i cannot find it ..

Fellas from the great state of Master Bruce Springsteen,

If you want to try, by hook or by crook, to get the Garden State full coverage I have a suggestion. Mind you it's not guaranteed to work, but it's guaranteed to fail if no attempt is made.

You have several people in your state with high positions in the NJ government, who actually seem to care about the state and its citizens. I am referring to Chris Christie and Corey Booker.
These two actually understand the meaning of being a good public servants, and are on different sides of the aisle.

Write these gentlemen about this and provide some solid reasons for them to try and get things moving.
I would say that the best items would be one's which directly effect jobs and the state economy.
Points like:
The more service, the more opportunity for employment in upkeep of said services.
The fact that businesses are shifting to more android and Google based solutions for their infrastructure. Meaning greater service would make New Jersey more attractive to new businesses to startup in the state. And attract current businesses to build branches in the state. I think you already have lower tax rates than the majority of the surrounding states. So it makes NJ just that much more financially attractive as well.
I would also look into contacting those behind the casinos and hotels on the Shore. Explain the benefits that the coverage would provide.

Again, let me reiterate that these are not foolproof. Evidenced by this fool coming up with the suggestions. But any of the actions mentioned above can't hurt, and aren't all that time consuming in this day and age.

I wish you luck, and hope you give some thought to making an attempt. And most importantly, get anyone you know in the state to do the same. Even provide them with a basic template or stripped down version of what you come up with. This will result in the contact made, to come off as many different unassociated voters petitioning for the same thing. A forwarded identical email doesn't get the same attention that what appears as individually crafted requests do. The latter gives the impression of more time put into the effort and sprouting from seemingly many individuals minds.

Good luck again and get the word out, even to any business owners you may have any type of contact or relationship with.

The squeaky wheel gets the oil!

I would like to apologize for bringing up anything political that may have rubbed anyone the wrong way. It was irresponsible of me to introduce a subject that can lead to things getting out of hand and derailing an important thread.
I forgot that it's best to keep such items out of the forums.
Especially a forum I have great respect for and would be lost without.
I would still have a top clock speed of 550 if it wasn't for this institution of learning, giving, sharing and helping.
I humbly ask that all will understand my embarrassment and be able to forgive me.
Thank you
With utmost respect to Droid Forums and all its members. Especially the great people behind the site who in a million years could never get all the credit they are due.

Sincerely

Well my question was answered about when Birmingham would get 4g but now since I will still be out of the Birmingham 4g coverage area about 30 miles my next question is when will b'ham coverage area be expanded lol or All of I-65 be covered?
Same here...I am closer to Huntsville, but still 50 miles out...80 or so from B`ham. I am hoping Gadsden area will come shortly...but Im still 25 miles from there...sux being in a "rural" area vs "metro" area...:)

Even though it just says a city, say for instance Boston, the actual 4G coverage is all of Boston PLUS coverage up into New Hampshire, so almost the entire eastern part of MA has 4G.

Silly Hokie :p But Blacksburg will probably get it's own separate date somewhere down the road. Glad I live in NoVa.

If state college and bethlehem, pa were on the list from the beginning, I would think Blacksburg would have made the cut.
