Verizon Wireless has said that customers with contracts ending before December 31, 2010 can upgrade to the Motorola DROID 2 earlier, and without penalty, for the current $199.99 price with a new Verizon Wireless contract. Really though, obviously the Droid 1 came out in November, so nobody is at the end of their contract (assuming you signed a 2 year), so what is a person to do? Just ooh and ahh at the new stuff?

Come on Verizon, we're willing to sign another 2 year!

I got a flyer in the mail saying they'd let me upgrade to another smartphone early. A great many people got the flyer. So I called and sure enough. Let me do the upgrade now.

i am chatting with verizon about this right now so i will see what they tell me! i wish i could upgrade now!

well the verizon agent told me that i may be able to upgrade early but they do it and you have to pay 20 dollars. if mine is up next month why do it now and pay 20 dollars...ha. i could save that 20 dollars.

i called the 1 800 number that she gave me and they told me since my upgrade was up next month then i can't get this promotion. what the heck? don't understand..ha.
