I walk down 1 flight of stairs and walk 10 paces to front steps and WiFi kicks it off and 4G takes over. WHAT THE HEY?!!!
Naw, no matter how you try and justify it, the wifi just sucks on this thing. I have 4 phones in my household, the turbo, a droid maxx, an iPhone 5 and a LG G3. It isn't even close, all 3 can connect to my router at least 50ft further than the turbo. If I go outside, stand in the drive, the G3 will show about 15 routers around me, the turbo will show 2, maybe 3. Oddly enough, the turbo, when it can connect, does so better at 5g than 2.4, and is remarkably fast. Now you may say that I have a defective phone, but I don't think so, have read too many reports online by people with similar issues.Maybe I need to get a range stretcher-outer.

You know I had a feeling it was a "turbo" issue. Damn!Naw, no matter how you try and justify it, the wifi just sucks on this thing. This is still really a nice phone, but so was my bionic. I think we've all been "bioniced" here, especially with the update situation. Well, just my 2 cents FWIW...
True, very true. May also depend on the case around the phone if it's covering up any antennae. I have a Lifeproof case for the Turbo and took a slight performance penalty in signal strength. Is the WiFi issue going to be rectified in 5.1? Remains to be seen.I'm not all that impressed with the Turbo 4G reception, either. Although calls are very clear, signal strength across the board (wifi, 4G, voice) is lower than my Rezound. Surprisingly it hasn't dropped or had a call degrade, but it's really the only flaw in the Turbo - good, but weak, radios.

I don't have a case. I could occasionally get decent speeds over 4G at home on my Rezound...Turbo usually seems to be @2-4Mbps, and upload speeds are virtually non-existent (<0.3Mbps). Although you don't send much data back to websites usually, at that speed it bottlenecks your download regardless.
I think that's more VZW than the Turbo, although indoors is where a weaker radio would really suffer.

That's in Piscataway, NJ. I work in medical insurance, everything is secure as can be. Always on LTE here. Thick walls & ceilings, sitting near the edge of the cubicle area.

But Moto has the best radios? Not...

Post your number, they will callMaybe "Not" as significantly better than they have in the past. Other chip manufacturers have really gained ground on that front in the past 3-5 years. Still, I believe call quality with a Motorola phone is better than with others. I have people who I talk to on my cell phone and they're using Samsung Galaxy phones, iPhones, others, and in many cases I can't understand them yet they hear me fine. When I communicate however with my wife or son who are both using Droid MAXXs, the sound quality is second to none, I can understand them and they don't have to keep repeating so I can recognize what they are saying.
I would love someone from every phone model to actually "call" me and let me hear them, then I'll do a comparison and tell you what I think are the best and worst of the bunch! LOL (gonna start a war here if I'm not careful).
