i have been tethering my droid thru Easy Tether app for months, for free. does this mean i won't be able to use the app and tether for free anymore?!?!

In that link you provided, it appears that there have been 2 updates to the post and screen grab....update 2 pretty much says no tether for Droid if I am reading it right.

i guess my question is: once 2.2 comes out (or this stop-gap update referred to in the article), and assuming that it has the tether feature built in so that it's now a standard option, will i be unable to use the Easy Tether (or PDA Net) apps to tether for free, or will i now have to pay $20 a month??
