Verizon Email Woes

Original Motorola Droid; Android 2.2.2; default email client: New email arrives, tap a message, get "loading......" forever. Go back to folders, tap inbox, "loading messages...." forever. Exit email client; wait; try again several times; eventually VOILA! Doesn't matter whether I'm on 3G or connected to my home, WIFI, broadband FIOS network. This NEVER happens with my Google Email Client.

Problem #2: Read emails; delete emails. A while later, new email notification! The emails that I have read and deleted are back in my inbox. Frustrating....

Anyone else out there having similar experiences?

I assume that this is a POP account. This usually means that the server doesn't think you finished downloading properly so it sends again. Try deleting the account and putting it back in there.

Try a different mail client like K-9 or Touchdown. The stock mail client has some known bugs. You can setup gmail to accept your pop mail as well.
