verizon email problem!!! no notifications!!!

I have verizon wireless email and ever since the download i have not been recieving notifications in my status bar of new emails, i have tried deleting the account and re opening it and i even set the sync for every 5 minutes...idk what else to try...anyone else having this problem?????!!!!!

Ok I figured it out so whoever is having trouble with email that is not syncing on its own you might need to do this... first you need the power thingy bar that is shown in the one picture and then you need to select the sync choice shown in the second picture...hope this helps you all...... (sorry for not knowing the correct terms):biggrin:
