Verizon Droid help ?

New Member
Hey guys I just got a Verizon droid phone. I purchased it used mostly because I don't want to spend the funds on a new one if I don't like the OS and what not.

Anyways , I had the 'pass code' for it but it's been off for a week and I totally forgot how to unlock it and get to the dashboard.

I have been trying to do the 'X' + Power = Recovery mode. However, I cannot seem to get it to go into recovery mode.
Every time I try it just boots up normally to the 'Activate' phone screen. Then if I hit 'Back' it takes me to the 'pass code' and emergency call screen.

What is wrong with this phone ? Haha...

any help is appreciated.

Turn it off and then back on. Then when it gets to the screen to set up hit clockwise each corner and keep tapping. If not try counter. This is how I have done it with most devices.

Tapped via Motorola Droid Razr!
Peace!

I forgot about that. Haven't tried it but heard that it works.

Love it man! Simply amazing!

Well actually it was until the update but a new update is on the way! Should fix it. My battery lasted a day and a half with heavy use! With no 4 g in my area though...lol

Glad to here that you're liking it! That's pretty decent battery too. If I end up not liking the Gnex, the RAZR will definitely be my second choice. My D2 barely lasts 5 hours with battery saving settings, and moderate usage :(.

Indeed I keep my D2 close! Love it. And yes the Gnex is another I will have soon. Gonna be hard to let go of that one too brother. Gnex and D4 will be my other devices I will use this year or next year anyway! Lol

Sounds like your D2 battery is shot. You could pick up a new one for like $5 on Amazon.

Can you elaborate a little further on this ?

I turned if off/on and tapped the 4 corners in clockwise/counter and nothing happened.

It will usually take about six or so circles around and around..

If this doesn't work usually try and go through the settings and after it goes through and you get the can't connect try it again then. Then try in the emergency all or set up screen. I believe there is a dialer code as well. Can't remember it though so maybe google and search...it will work eventually..
