I'm downloading the updates as I type. About time!

Update: installed and working. Now waiting for 4.4.3.

Wow - loaded KitKat on my Samsung Note 10.1 2014 last night, and loading it on my S4 now! Christmas in April! But did note last night on my tablet that MyBackup Pro wrote to the internal storage rather than the SD card. Probably need to figure out if MyBackup Pro has a designated directory it is allowed to use on the SD card, didn't like the rerware directory anymore apparently.

Ok, so finally noticed a difference. Listening to music, the lock screen "widget" is much better. Full screen, not half screen. Buttons have a better look, too. Not a huge difference but appreciated as I listen to a ton of music on my phone...

Kitkat does not allow data from apps loaded from the Google play store to write to the external SD card.

From what I've read, apps can write to a directory they are associated with, but no others. And when the app is removed, so are the files.

Updated to 4.4.2 last night everything went great. Plugged my phone in to charge and when I woke up the phone was frozen with the red light for notifications frozen on red and phone wouldnt turn on. Had to pull battery to restart. Not ok.. any ideas?

That's the NFC indicator. There was an update to Google wallet although I couldn't make it work at the vending machine at work...
