USB options?

I use the aux port, but it doesn't display any information on my deck and plus it doesn't charge my phone at the same time :)

Never liked pioneer Kenwood the way to go most compatible and full function headunits IMHO works great on all the kenwood dnx series when mounted and through the bluetooth module also. I would see if pioneer has a firmware update if your unit supports it like mine its needed a few updates and tweaks

Nah, man, I tried mounting it but it didn't make a difference.
Mounting should make a difference. Your head unit can't access files on the SD card if it isn't mounted. Only one device can access the SD card at a time. You don't want the Droid accessing the SD card when you have it connected to your head unit.

It's entirely possible that you're having several issues. You definitely need to mount the card. However, if another issue is preventing you from playing music then you'll need to address that issue as well.
