USB cables

I noticed that all my USB cables charge the Bionic but only the one that came with it will work for mounting the sd card on my computer. Anyone know why?

Possible different pin configuration? I actually haven't tried yet, I'll go give it a shot & report back.

UPDATE: My old cable worked just fine, backing up my SD card as we speak.
