URGENT! Please help!!!

Okay, I have the first generation droid. It was working fine last night, I shut it off before I went to bed and didn't charge it. I plugged it in this morning (not into the dock, just straight to the wall), and non-stop, for the past like 20 minutes, it just keeps turning on, and then it will stay on the main screen for like 4 seconds, with the red light on, until it shuts back off, and then shut back off. What do you think could be the problem? I need my phone! And I don't know what to do! Please Help!

My phone did the exact same thing when I used my camera charger by accident, it plugs in fine but doesn't charge. Everything works fine when I use the right stuff
