Droid help

I need help with my Droid. Last night, it suddenly shut off with about 30% power, and it wouldn't turn on. Then, when I went to charge it, it wouldn't charge, with the light next where you plug the charger in not even coming on at all. So I left it uncharged over night, and this morning I plugged it in the charger again (after switching outlets), and it finally turns on, except I can't use the touch screen, and therefore can't unlock it. I don't know what to do, please help

Can you see the touchscreen and is it just unresponsive?

Yes i can see and it is unresponsive, and i can see if i get emails or texts too
