Upgrading good or bad

So I am loving miui, and am currently on Droid 1, I have an upgrade coming soon, and I know that TB and Droid Bionic are coming soon, both look great, but I am not sure about upgrading at the moment. I wonder if miui will come to either of these new phones.

What should I do.

Avoid the moto phone it will have a locked bootloader. Recently moto said they may change their bootloader policy, but I think its best to just not count on it. Go HTC decent build quality and unlocked bootloaders. Ie the ability to have a miui rom.

What about the dual core ability of the Bionic? I just read the specs and wow I would love it. But the locked bootloader makes me sad.

Moto phones in my experience are wonderful and built well. You expressed interest in still running miui hence my suggestion to stay away from the moto device. The dual core does look nice but I'll be sticking with my D2.
