updating/adding new ROMs

I am new to the whole rooting my droid and also to this website. Anyways i installed bugless beats V0.3 ROM and if I wanted to put a differnt ROM on my phone or update it would I have to delete the old ROM or could I just add a new ROM over the old one? Sorry if this question has been brought up before.

Wipe data/cache then install the rom over the current one.
