Update version 2.2 for Galaxy S - Fascinate

I can't wait for this update. Since I bought this phone off Craigslist, I don't have insurance, I've been worried about rooting this phone since all I hear is that the Fascinate bricks really easily. All my friends have the Incredible or the X or D2, all with Froyo, stupid buttholes just make fun of me and my Froyo-less phone. D:!

Fascinate does not brick an easier than other android phones. It is just that you have to use Odin to load clockwork and that has a lot of users fking up.

Next time your friends poke fun ask em to take a pic. Take the same pic with the fascinate, then point and laugh. You could also download some tester apps and show them how the fascinate produces better numbers on stock .1 then their moto does on .2

I would try it, but I'm running a DJ05 ROM, don't expect I would get good results.

just tried that so called number to force check updates, yeah, its bogus, says cant complete the call!!! guess i have to wait till january 10 now!

Well, seeing as the update server has been unavailable since October 26 (on my phone, at least), I don't have much hope that this Jan 10 rumor will be anything more than just that...rumor.

Not that any of this stops me from checking for updates about once a week, of course...

Well I just heard officially. The end of the Myan Calendar is 12/12/2012 and Verizon says if we are all still here on 12/13/2012, the update to 2.2 for our phones will be out soon after that date, unless it is delayed, at that point, it will be out sometime later.:icon_eek:
