I've been on a droid 2 global with fission rom (basically makes it like a stock android experience by removes moto blur). I'm with in my 30 days and tempted to switch to a Fascinate or drop Verizon all together and go for a nexus s. I will need to pay for my activation fee and also the restocking fee if I decide to return the phone. It could be pretty costly to drop Verizon. The main reason I got the DG2 was because of the keyboard but I think I can live w/o. Even with the Fission rom I still notice lag while scrolling through the menus and noticed it was a lot smoother on the Fascinate.
If you could answer a couple of questions that would be great. I'm sorry if my questions are noobish, but I am new to smart phones:
Is there any rom's out for the Fascinate that will make the phone a stock android like the Droid Fission rom or Nexus S?
After reading a couple of reviews I heard the Fascinate battery takes longer to charge but also lasts a lot longer. In order to make it over 24 hours on my D2G I need to disable pretty much all applications including background data. How long are you usually getting in terms of battery time? Are you using a battery saving configuration or on max performance?
What are the GPS issues with the Galaxy S phones and have they been fixed?
Besides lack of updates from Sasmung to android 2.2 / 2.3, are there any other issues with the phone that I should be concerned about ?
