Update to Google Play

Rooted my bionic last night and installed eclipse 2.2. Now I can't update the market to Google Play. Any suggestions?

Happened automatically for me. Just download and install an app from the Market and it should soon upgrade the "Android Market" to "Play Market."

I am actually having a similar issue... Not sure what I did but I know it updated to play store... Then one day I updated an app and suddenly it made me force close the play store. When I tried to go back it was like the build reverted back to an older build and it wouldn't update on its own. I updated it manually with the latest apk but every once and awhile it will revert back to market and I have to install it again... Weird

Try clearing cache and data on the play store, should fix the problem.

I had this problem on 2.1 and discovered that phonesky.apk in /system/app was causing it, try putting a .bak after it and reboot the phone. On a side note I never did this with 2.2 but my play store is in /data/app. Does anyone know what the latest version is? I'm currently on 3.5.19.
