I just received an email from my business reputation confirming that an update (sounds like maintenance release not GB) will be available at 8 pm tonight.
A software update will be available for the HTC ThunderBolt beginning at 8 p.m. ET on 07/08/11.
Enhancements:
Improved data connectivity. Enhanced Call History view. Reduced number of device power cycles and resets. Improved Bluetooth Discovery Mode pop-up window. View App Menu in tabbed layout. People search function enabled. Backup Assistant has been added to the All Apps menu. Preloaded My Verizon, V CAST Music and V CAST Videos. Desktop cradle App is now available, showing clock in landscape mode. NY Times site has been added into the browser bookmarks.
Software Availability:
The HTC Thunderbolt software can be pulled at any time after 8 p.m. ET on 07/08/11 by following these steps from the Home Screen: Menu > Settings > Software Update > Check New. If customers ask for instructions on how to setup the Data Usage widget after the update, follow these steps from the Home Screen: Long Press on an empty part of the Home Screen > Widget > Data Usage.
For new activations, follow the steps above to assist customers in upgrading their new handset, or provide them with the steps on how to download and install the update at their own convenience.
