OmniRom is one of the more popular roms for Android devices. It ranks somewhere in the top 10 when it comes to most widely known roms. Many of you are patiently waiting for the Lollipop builds to be released. Today the OmniRom team made an announcement. They are still working toward releasing their Lollipop build, but have decided to answer some frequently asked questions.
They addressed the reason there have not been any nightly builds for Kit Kat on some legacy devices. They are constantly striving to provide both support for legacy devices as well as the latest and greatest builds for all supported devices. This means that they will continue to provide security and bug fixes for even those devices that are no longer receiving nightlies even while working hard towards the Lollipop release. There is a wiki that will provide information on devices, maintainers, and the status of Lollipop for various devices. Finally they list the requirements for devices that will receive Lollipop builds of OmniRom. Requirements include an active, well known, experienced maintainer for the device, SElinux in enforcing mode, and the device must have a full-functioning recovery build.
