Update Notification for uninstalled Apps - How do I make it stop???

So I uninstalled a bunch of apps (either found better ones or got bored with them). But now, every day I get the Notification that I have apps with available updates. When I go into them, its updates for all the apps I had already uninstalled. Do I have to clear a history of some sort somewhere to make my phone quit checking for updates on these no longer installed apps? Please help! Its annoying as heck!!!

There may be an issue with how you uninstalled the apps. Did you do it from the Market?

Well, one thing to try would be to go to the home screen/menu/settings/applications/manage applications/all/market/clear cache/clear data. It will take the market a few minutes to resync, but that may correct your issue.
