update 2.2.2

I have a rooted Motorola Droid the first one. I keep geting a system update screen. Can I up date or not? If not How do I get rid of the update notice. It is only rooted no custom rom or downgraded version. I am running 2.2.1 I had my phone rooted at a store that went out of busniess last week.
