Unresponsive on/off button

Ok, here's my situation. I got caught in a bad storm, ended up drenched, and have been having phone difficulties since then. After some initial troubles, I gave it some time and it's working. The problem is that for some reason my on/off button doesn't work. This wouldn't be a problem since plugging it in or opening the keyboard wakes the screen up, my issue is that I would like to take it in to verizon but I'm rooted and running a custom rom, so i'd like to load my nandroid backup prior to taking it in. Here's my question: how do I access that without an active on/off button?

Thanks in advance!

Download QuickBoot from the market. Free App, lets you power down, reboot, or reboot to recovery!
Good luck!

PS: :welcome: to the board!

But once in recovery that app will not be accessible.

OP is the power key completely disabled or will it work with repeated pressings?

Alright, well I got it back to stock so at least I can take it in now. Thanks for the help, the quick boot app worked perfectly!
