The Moto X Pure has an easily unlockable bootloader. It can be unlocked using Motorola's dev site. This means that it is super developer friendly. There is now an unofficial build of TWRP for the Moto X Pure! For now you will be able to make a full nandroid backup of your device. This is always great to have in case you mess something up flashing a mod or rom. Roms should soon arrive for the device as well. Head to the link below to grab the TWRP recovery.
