Unlocked 4G Verizon?

I apologize in advance if this question has already been asked, as I am new to this forum.

The HTC Sensation is the perfect phone for me. I love the UI, it has 2 processors, etc. Only problem is I'm on Verizon and switching to T-Mobile is not an option at this point. I'd also like to upgrade before the tiered data kicks in.

I'm not too knowledgable about unlocked phones and networks. If I were to get this phone:
HTC Sensation GSM Unlocked Black Cell Phone | Overstock.com

could I use it on the Verizon 4G LTE network? Could I use it globally? And would Verizon put those annoying VZ apps on it once I attached it to my plan?

Also, that Samsung Galaxy S2 doesn't look bad either, but I can't find what network it's offered on anywhere.

Any help would be appreciated.

You can't use the sensation on verizon. You can use it globally if it supports global gsm frequencies.

The galaxy s2 isn't on sale in the states yet.

Ah lame. Why is Verizon so behind when it comes to 4G+Dual-core devices? Are they waiting until after the tiered data plans are implemented to release decent phones?

Probably because dual core SOCs weren't mature enough when LTE phones began development. They're coming though.

I am new to the smartphone scene. Waiting for the Galaxy S2 to come out. That will be my first smartphone. I do have a question. I've read that ATT will be going to the LTE network eventually as well. When they do, how will that affect the people who have a HSPA device? Will there be an update for that device to connect to LTE as well?

Every carrier forum has people griping about device selection. Grass is greener...

What apps? My Droid has none. Data plans don't put apps on your device.

No, you'll need a new device. They won't shut down HSPA immediately. Consider that EDGE is still around. I think GPRS may be as well.
